BLS Healthcare Provider (BLS) & AED

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). Completion of this program is a prerequisite for all ACLS and PALS programs, for the full BLS Instructor and BLS Instructor Trainer credentials, and for all other advanced level programs.

 

Intended Audience:,  Healthcare providers, such as Emergency medical technicians paramedics, physicians, nurses, , respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel in a wide variety of settings. Successful course completion measured through written exam and satisfactory skill performance. Course completion cards awarded for successful completion.
