CPR for Family and Friends Course
This course is designed for family members or friends of patients with heart
disease. The course is video-based and includes skills demonstration, practice
and instructor-led practice sessions. A participation card is given at the end
of this course. The course can be taught as two separate modules, each 2 hours
in length. You can sign up for one or both modules.

Adult Module
This module
presents information about the signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke,
and what you need to do to provide early treatment. This module trains
participants in the skills for adult one-rescuer CPR and foreign body airway
obstruction management for the responsive victim.

Pediatric
Module
This module
presents information on the common causes of infant and child cardiac arrest,
injury prevention, and the pediatric chain of survival. This module trains
participants in the skills for infant and child one-rescuer CPR and foreign
body airway obstruction management for the responsive infant and child victim.
Pediatric Heartsaver
Infant/Child CPR & Pediatric First Aid Course
This course is designed for day care providers, babysitters, parents, or for
anyone who works with infants and children. The course is video-based and
includes skills demonstration, practice, and instructor-led practice sessions.
The course can be taught as two separate modules, each 2 hours in length. You
can sign up for one or both modules.

CPR
MODULE
The course

FIRST AID MODULE
This module
presents information on injury assessment, identifying and caring for injuries
and illnesses commonly seen in early childhood years including bleeding,
shock, and medical emergencies.
A course completion card is provided to participants at the end of the course if
they successfully complete the written examination. This course meets the
"Massachusetts Office for Child Care Services" licensing requirements if taken
with the Pediatric CPR module.
